Gurugram Metro Expansion to take Wings

The Gurugram metro network will connect to the older parts of the city which will further boost real estate development and The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited would undertake the construction of the project. The metro extension will definitely be the lifeline of the population in the urban development areas in Gurugram. It will make life easy by increasing the connectivity/ mobility within Gurugram and outside the NCR. New Gurgaon areas like Dwarka Expressway and its neighborhood will benefit intensely. This, in turn, will provide a connectivity boost to the growth of real estate in Gurugram.

The proposal for this metro link is all set to begin within a quarter. In the next financial year, the whole process for the HUDA City Centre -Old Gurgaon Metro link will begin working. The predicted cost of the project is estimated at Rs 6900 crore. This is a 29 km corridor consisting of 27 elevated stations with 6 interchange stations. The new metro route will cover Sector 45, 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, 72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Ph 6, Sector 10, 37, Basai, Sector 9, 7, 4, 5, Ashok Vihar, Sector 3, Palam Vihar, Sector 23 A, 22, Udyog Vihar Ph4 &5 and finally merging in an existing metro network of Rapid Metro at Moulsari Avenue, near Cyber City.

The interchanges are at the MRTS corridor at Subhash Chowk with Bus Stand at Sector 10, railway station at Sector 5, and Rapid Rail at Cyber City.  MRTS corridor at Subhash Chowk will interchange with Yellow Line at HUDA City Centre, directly connecting a large part of Gurugram with Delhi. It will also interchange with RRTS station at Hero Honda Chowk and Sector 22 and connect Gurgaon up to  Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi, and on Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror (SNB) side. The entire project is to be completed in 4 years.

This connectivity boost will also develop the real estate sector as more homebuyers would now be encouraged to live in Gurugram. The infrastructural developments have made Gurugram the star of the real estate sector. The commercial areas will be easily connected to residential areas and homebuyers would love that. Accessibility increases with these metro lines and with various projects building, Gurugram has a lot to offer to everyone within its budget. Improved connectivity has also led to well-established societies offering a good standard of living. People feel at ease after this metro line and also will be able to avoid the Delhi Gurugram traffic at peak hours. And besides providing better connectivity within Gurugram and to other regions, it will also be an effective way to reduce the traffic congestion in the city someday and further fuel real estate growth.
